| I been studying for the CCNA for about 2 months, and I hear that it can be pretty tricky. I got a simulator and a book by Thompson course technology. The simulator was only 30 bucks but it seems to map to the textbook pretty well. I have no networking experience, and I was wondering if you all think that I have enough study material to pass. I know that book knowledge can't replace experience. Any "must knows" for this exam would be helpful. Thanks, Eric. | |

Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing if your study material will help you with the current CCNA exam. I took the CCNA a few years ago, so I have no idea how well the study material out on the street covers the exam now being given.
If you have a sim, that's a big help for you. I do suggest that if you can afford it, you should buy a couple of used Cisco 2500 series routers and a used Cisco 1900 series switch. These will give you and even better understanding and greatly aid your studying.
There are a few members who frequent this forum that have recently passed their CCNA, so they should be able to fill you in on current study material. |
