Hello, everyone:

In configurate a router, how do you know which mode you should use? There are user mode, privilege mode, global mode, interface mode.

What is in each mode and what does each mode's function????

Is there materials to tell what kind of commands can be used in each routing configuration mode????

does anyone make a fiber optic cable?? I like to see how a fiber optic cable being made. I know it is difficult to make. I never seen how it is being done. I like to see a demo at least. In real world, how often at a job you have to make a fiber optic cable???

I am still working on subnetting. Now when you have routers, host and serial link, you have to apply your subnet to all these routers and host and serial links.
I know you pick the highest host first to have it subnetted. Then you go to the next highest host so on and so forth. I got the slash format to cover the host but when I get to the next host, I dont know which address to use. I know you have to add the next number to the next subnet. For example if your subnet mask is 255.255.192.0 then you will take 256 minus 192 to get 64 so that the next subnet will be added to 64. This part I got so confused.

I got the calculation for the host and the slash format but just dont know how to apply to the next subnet with the 256-whatever mask.

Do I confuse you??

Thank you

Thank you, Forbes.

It is a great book.

Actually I am in semester 1 now.

It is so much to read from the online sites.
My eyes gets tired so quickly. I rather have a book to read in the train or bus.

Thanks again

You are the best.

thank you, Forbes to recommand me a book.
Will check it out.

However, I still like your link for semester 2, I will print them out or read it online. it is very interesting.

Do you have a link for semester 1?

I do need to read online materials to take the exam for each chapter for my course CCNA semester 1. I just cannot print them out to read them.

The exams are based on the online materials.

Thanks again.
You have been very helpful to me.
