| I'm taking the CCNA 640-801 exam tomorrow. I've been using the Sybex study guide and virtual lab to prepare, along with using an actual 2600 router. I noticed in the virtual lab that there's no labs for ISDN. Should I assume that none of the sim ?'s on the exam will incorporate ISDN?
Thanks,

| I wouldn't say.
Don't assume anything other than "anything's possible" on the exam. I'm sure you'll have something related to ISDN --be that sims or questions, I don't know.
Best of Luck. | |

| If it's in the syllabus then it can be tested. | |

| You can also get questions on what command would work when trying to set up an isdn connection. | |

| Hello all, I've just passed 640-801 yesterday, and I'm new to this forum. What I must say about that exam was that a lot of stuff that I didn't really study for came out!
There were many questions on access-lists and i had 2 sims on OSPF, 1 sim on access-lists. Damned, none of the sims had what I really studied for, i.e. RIP and all that simple password changing stuff.
ISDN did present itself in the exam, but only as simple multiple choice questions, like - which one is a TE2, choose all that apply. But remember that's only in the exam I took. I don't know if there are sims on ISDN. If it came out, I would have died.
Anyway, I am happy to pass it, albeit scraped past (896/1000). |
