Hey Lexy,

Do you mind telling me why you removed my post in the ospf thread? As I recall, I didn't post spam or braindumps, I wasn't flaming or otherwise offending anybody, it was a simple technical answer.

Oh yeah, I remember what that thread was about. The question was something like "you want to observe the DR/BDR election process in your OSPF network; what command do you use?", followed by five "show" commands, four of which were invalid.

And my answer was that the question is pretty dumb to begin with, since the DR/BDR election is a dynamic process, and you cannot observe any dynamic process with a "show" command. But given the choices, only the valid "show" command is good because:
1. it shows the result of the DR/BDR election process
1. all the others are invalid

Now, what's wrong with this post?! Why is it deleted?!

The same thing I'm laughing about.

Well, I believe I'd probably try to contact the moderator with a PM or an email and question him privately instead of throwing a fit about it in the forum. Barring that, I'd just chalk it up to one of those things that are out of my control and drop it.

Hmm, yeah, that's probably the wise thing to do... Maybe I got too caught in this stop-the-abuse fight. Or maybe it's the spring coming...

Reason being that tanbinbin was posting exam questions and I deleted his original post and all answers to it.

No one was being singled out or made an example of.

Happy now?

I believe I had that question on my exam. I would like to know the answer to make sure I got it right.

No, I'm not "happy now".

For one thing, you don't know that was an actual exam question; you made an assumption it's actual exam question, and afaic your assumtion was wrong, because the question was dumb, and Cisco may come up with questions that look "poorly worded" to the unprepared, but they don't come up with dumb question. If you ask me, that question came from one of the miriad "certification preparation" sites that are crammed with bad, dumb or plain stupid questions...

But even if the question was what you think it was, I fail to see the justification for removing the answer...

That being said, I consider this issue closed. I was curious to know why removed a legitimate post, and you gave me the answer. Thanks.

I have had a few friends sit the exam recently and that questions IS in the exam.

That is why the thread was closed.

I thought that was in mine but wasn't sure. I went brain dead after passing and can't remember half of the questions.

Oh, c'mon man, we're expecting better from you. First you said you asked that rintintin guy if the question was from the exam, and he didn't answer, so you concluded it was from the exam. Now, your friends told you the question is in the exam. Which one happened first: the ask-and-no-answer, or the friends-told-me?

Sorry, but I couldn't resist this one...

Maybe this thread should be closed before dmaftei blows a gasket.

Not a problem, I gave him time to answer instead of just closing the thread.

It was an exam question and he had the chance to say something but didn't.

If I'd of closed it straight away people would have complained (yet again!) so I left it a while and guess what? Yup, people still complained.

Can't win can you?

Don't mis-quote or alter posts in replys either.

If this is your attitude, stay away from the forum it's that simple.
