What exactly is it your allowed to take into the CCNA exam with you. Are you allowed to take paper, or is it given to you.

Does it vary depending on the testing centre you use, or is the policy the same across the board??

Any help, Charz...

You can't take anything in with you.
This was my biggest gripe concerning the exam. All I got was a laminated piece of paper slightly smaller than an A4 sized sheet and a marker pen. When I asked for a couple of more spare sheets I was told that I was only allowed one.(why? what's wrong with having two or three BLANK pieces of approved laminated paper)Then when you run out of space you don't have any wipes to clean your paper and you have to waste valuable time by going and having to ask for a new piece of paper.
A word of advice, take some handkerchieves into the test with you to use as wipes.

Is that the same at every test centre, VUE , Prometric etc, or was it just the one you used??

I don't know mate, it was a prometric test centre though.
I personally like to jot down main notes or hooks into subject matter that I feel I am weak on right at the start of the exam and if you can't subnet in your head and do your working on paper then you very quickly run out of space. I have even spoken to someone who sat the exam at the same test centre as me and they claimed to make matters worse, that they were given a really thick nibbed felt tip pen.
Another word of advice, work EXTREMELY quickly and give yourself extra time at the end of the exam in case you get sims at the end.
