| A router lists three routes to subnets in network 10.0.0.0. Given that VLSM is in use -how many times does the 'sh ip route' command list mask/prefix info about routes in network 10.0.0.0
a.1
b.2
c.3
d.4
f.5
ans: 3
I don't quite get this question. Suppose we do not use VLSM, would it make a difference on the answer? What does it exactly mean??
Thank you for your help!

| each will have a different network prefix, so it is treated as 3 separate route instead of one route to a big fat 10/8
also readre your other post, I edited it a little | |

| so what you mean is without VLSM, it will do auto summarization, only 1 subnet/prefix is shown in the table??
THanks! | |
|
| yes, for classful routing protocol like rip, it will auto summarize at 10/8, ripv2 and eigrip you can turn it off
not very comfortable with the phrase
"without VLSM"
know vlsm, cidr, classful vs classless routing protocols etc... |
