which of the following command will create a configration for IGRP gaven the following,
e0 using 10.1.1.1
e1 using 224.1.2.3
s0 using 10.1.2.1
s1 using 199.1.1.1
using process id 5

a. router rip 5
network 10.0.0.0
network 199.1.1.0
network 224.1.2.0
b. router igrp 5
network 10.0.0.0
network 199.1.1.0
network 224.1.2.0
c. router igrp 5
network 10.0.0.0
network 199.1.1.0

answer is C

my question is e1 is an multicast address, is it normal to be assigned to an physical port? If so, is it right we just leave it alone when we configure the routing protocols???

Thank you for your help!

I believe you are correct on both counts. BTW, where did you get that question?

Nope, you cannot do that.

Another thing. IGRP and EIGRP use AS #'s when applying the router command. Not process ID's. That's OSPF.

Always use routers to study along with books. The routers will let you know if the book is wrong because the stuff won't work!

Or router sims right?

I never liked sims. They usually only support the commands necessary to perform very specific labs, and are not "really" running IOS of course. So, you can't depend on them to output an error when a real router would :P You also can't expect them to exhibit the same symptoms an improper network configuration would. They are good for learning the basics, but a good ol' 2501 would be much better.
