"VTP is not used when all of the switches in a network are in transparent mode"

why say so??? I'm confused. Is it because no server will generate summary advertisement and subnet advertisement msg, No client will generate advertisement request, and therefore virtually no VTP msgs are in the network?

anybody knows??
TIA.

Perhaps it simply means that no VTP information is generated or exchanged. Since transparent mode neither listens to nore advertises information, all the switches just keep to themselves.
