I am having a probem with one of my 2503 routers I bought to study the CCNA. I am only half
way through semester 2, so i will explain as best as I can.

On booting up one of the routers with the configuration register set to 2102 the router boots up
fine but doesn't detect the two serial interfaces. If I change the boot register to 2101, and reload, which is
RXBoot mode (I think) the router detects the interfaces and I get the following message:

stuiSETUP: new interface serial 0
Setup: new interface serial 1

If I use the two serial ports in this mode they both work perfectly, but with limited
functionality. How do I go about saving the newly detected interface settings in this mode.
When I set the configuration register to boot back to the normal 2102 mode it asks me if I
want to save the new configuration, I choose yes, and reload.

When the router boots back up in the 2102 it still doesn't detect the two serial interfaces. Any help
on getting the interfaces detected in this mode will be a good help. Thanks.

Check what IOS version you are attempting to load from flash.

The IOS version is 11.0. Ive tried reloading it and running it from a TFTP server but the same problem occurs.

Heres the output from the show flash command
