| Came to work today, found that the one of the project mgrs decided to use some HP-Pro curve switches. I dialed into my first one today. I found the interface fairly simple and easy to navigate. Just curious how many of you are working with other technology?
if so what? This is an open market, I guess to strenghten my networth,,,,,"not network",,
one must be able to flex.

| I'm hoping to see great things from Juniper Networks. From what I hear they make quality products which are said to be superior to Cisco equipment as far as cutting-edge technology. Supposedly they are slowly stealing some of the market away. If their stuff weren't so damn expensive, I'd try to get my hands on some of it. | |

| You are right! smrkdown
I work for a major Internet company and we have replaced some of our Redback routers with Juniper ERX routers. They are ok to work with. It's just that when I troubleshoot these routers the log commands really don't tell you anything! You have keep digging deeper to find the problem. I have more ATM problems then anything else. Well what can you say! It's technology at work! Most of all! Job Security!! | |

| Juniper makes high end stuff that you'll probably only see at ISPs and such so most techs won't know much about it.
The HP ProCurve switch is inexpensive and I am seeing may of of our remote sites buy them for their LANs just because of the price. I still favor Cisco because it's what I know but for small remote sites (under 100 people)I can understand them opting for the cheaper product.
