who is the ccna for?

| i am a regular computer user and i can put together a peer to peer network with a few computers with no problem.my local technical college offers the ccna course.is this course for me or would it be too advanced?i have been told it would be too advanced but have read where it is basically for entyr level people.any advice would be appreiated.

| CCNA it’s for people that are commited, dedicated and eager to get Cisco certification. If you are passionate about your ccna then I don’t see you having any problems. Practice and patient is key to success, also every one will give you different opinion about ccna whether it’s easy or hard.
I personally don’t think it’s easy and it really depends on each individual.Some people are very good in theory and weak in practical and vice versa.CCNA might be entry level,but it can be very heavy for starters
The best preparation for ccna is to start with network+ to get into the fundamentals of it and then go into ccna.
It never hurts to try

| Good advice given above. Cisco material isn't difficult material to understand. It's just different material to understand. And alot of material to understand. Alot of good CCNA books start from the beginning and work up, so if you have some basic computer and network knowledge already, then you'll be able to understand the CCNA material. | |

| Regarding how hard a CCNA course is depends on the teacher. I could survive one now after 2 years of school. At your current level, I would say you could survive & thrive.
Even if you never take your CCNA, you gain tremendous knowledge from the effort. | |

| thanks for the replies everyone.i really want this but my confidence is low.everytihng i know i learned from just messing around at home so im not up with all the technical jargon and i i guess i know what to do sometimes but i just dont know the background behind what im doing if that makes any sense.
