| Hello Forum members,
My name is Malique I am a Cisco academy student on my working on my CCNA course. I find you site useful and entertaining.
I came across a 2600 series router at a garage sale, ya I know lucky me got it home hooked it up connected to the console port but no config was loaded in fact nothing was loaded i did not get any response from the router.
My next step was to change the registry but no luck since nothing would boot at all.
the only i get is this šŠ Éšó ššP”£šūšPŁš
żšŠģ£Š
do you have any idea how to fix this router.
Hope you can help me, Thank you in advance

| It sounds like you have a baud rate setting issue. On your PC, you should have your COM port setting to 9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and no parity. | |

| 2600 router at a yard sale, yea never seen that before, lol
yep, looks like ur baud is messed up, put the settings that drwatsonjr recommended and see what happens.

| make sure you are using a console (rolled) cable to access the router. If your connection settings are right and you have a console cable you should be set.
