Hello everybody,

I'm new on this forum, I just finished my MS certifications and I'm taking a course for the CCNA that begins end of january. I never worked with CISCO material and I would like to prepare a bit for this course, so do you know some books or sites that give an overview of the course or on CISCO material for beginners?

thank you for your help!

Try your library for free texts. Mine has CCNA 640-801 For Dummies or the CCNA : Cisco Certified Network Associate study guide, Fourth Edition, by Todd Lammle. Be sure it's the fourth edition. I hope that helps. Good Luck.

Don't forget to buy a cisco router. The 2500er are cheap and the best way to pass is hands-on experience.
a helpful link is:

thank you for the 2500er, I'll check if I can find one. The school where I'll go have a lab where we can train with 10 routers, 5 switches and others ISDN routers, we can even come after we finish the whole course to use it for free. I hope this will be enough....
