Well, that depends if the Network+ exam is now covering ACL's, Route Summarization and OSPF...Just kidding. In my opinion, the Network+ exam would be a good start towards the CCNA. If you only have a "Network+" understanding of computer networking I would recommend following the 2 test path for the CCNA. I would say the Network+ material covers 30 - 40% of what the CCNA Intro requires you to know. One topic you'll find yourself reading alot about, especially when you're new to networking is Spanning Tree; which I don't believe the Network+ exam covers. Anyway, good luck!

Hey Gavin, i'm doing the ccna right now, plan on taking the test in about 2 weeks, as long as you understand the material in net+ you should be able to move right into your ccna studies, i used the sybex ccna book isbn 0782143113 and mike myers ccna passport, which is a pretty good book if you're confused on some things after the sybex book, i'd say its kinda like a pre-test refresher type book, but i'd definitely check ciscopress.com for the latest ccna prep books, afterall it's their exam.

Be well and good luck

Id say Net+ covers 30% of CCNA. It also has less of a steep learning curve then CCNA.
