Thanks to all the great information and support in this forum and quite a bit of studying on my part, I passed on Saturday with a 924.

Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz - Oh, what a relief it is!!

I think I will give my brain a rest for awhile. 10/1/03 I start the SANS GCIA.

I want to reenforce what other people have said about the exam:
1. Know subnetting inside and out. I wrote down the chart for Class B and C several times a day for a couple of days before taking the test. As soon as I sat for the exam in the testing center and before the clock started, I wrote it down.

2. Likewise I wrote down the ISDN reference points until I had memorized them. I wrote this down as well before I started the test.

3. I wrote down a couple of key things that I seem to forget to do like: No shutdown, copy run start, Admin values for Rip, IGRP, Update timer values. I'm sure you know what things you forget when in haste or stressed out.

4. Know what commands give you what output! When you are stressed in the exam, you may forget so test yourself ahead of time on a sheet of paper. "If I want to know the DLCI statistics on an interface, I would type ______."

5. The sims were easy. Just keep your wits about you. I got one sim around question #3 (which REALLY stressed me out quickly) and another at #55 (thought I would get lucky with only one up to that point :~)).

6. I had plenty of time - had 30 minutes to spare. I rushed through some of the test and probably could of scored better if I had slowed down and read the questions more carefully and put more thought into my answers. I scored very low in a category I should of aced so I think I read a question or two backwards. It probably said "Choose what is NOT a feature of BLAH" and I read "Choose what is a feature of BLAH".

Good Luck!! Just DO it!

You seem to have good exam-preparation strategies. So keep them in mind for your other exams too. My difficulty is that I understand the logic well, but can't memorize details. But good luck buddy.
