Personally I don't think VUE or Prometrics will make any difference in your passing of failing an exams.

I have yet to experienced taking exams using Prometrics as all the certs i took was using VUE.But i think there is little difference between the two testing center.

What i would worry is the computers at the testing location which is use to take these exams.
The test center where i took the test for my A+ i think still uses Pentium 133 cause it so freaking slow!!!!!...which does not help when you are taking an exams. It'll make you more nervous.
I changed to a new location (still under VUE thou)..which uses P4 and it was smooth as silk.

My suggestion: Look for test centers that uses at least p3 pc...it will be better for you when taking the exams.

I agree with asteheske. The testing center I use is signed up for both VUE and Prometric. The only issue I ever had with Prometric was downtime on their test delivery servers. After having to reschedule my 640-907 on two occasions (after I had shown up for the exam), I switched to VUE. I sat for the 642-871 exam last Friday, and VUE did not show the results on their website until today, which I found somewhat distressing. Both use the same question pool, so take your pick. The center I use has DELL PIII 933 pcs, which are certainly adequate for the test questions and sims. In spite of this, the information you key in on the sims sometimes appears so slowly that you wonder if you will have time to finish. Good luck on the exam.
