I could get more score but i was rushed in the last questions.Anyway a pass is a pass.

The exam was not so difficult, it's fair game. Most of the questions were LAN S&R, barely WAN q's ( only 1-2 frame-relay,1 isdn), NO IPX (thanks god!),and OSI gizmos.

Also you must master subnetting to pass.

The sims were easy : one sim was troubleshoot and the other was setting up ip addresses ( and masks, don't forget) for 2 interfaces (Also, remember ' copy run start').

Thank you all

I am going to make some fun, and then conquer CCNP. I am also tend to think that CCNP must come with hands on experience - so I'll try get a job in ISP or company that specialized in networking/security.

I don't understand all those people who write : I am a+,b+,mcp,mcp+i,mcsa,mcse,ciw,
net+,ccna etc etc. People all we need is specialization ! No one can know everything, if you want security then achieve CCSE and CISPP. Want networking ? Then get CCNP/CCIE/CCDP.Want system ? Then get MCSE/CNE. Hope you got the general idea

Well Humbug some ppl wants to be Jack of all trades and master of none, some ppl wants to specialist on sumthing or sumthing else.

And I don't quite agree with what you said.
True if you want security then go for CCSE CISSP provided the guy or gal are experienced in the industry and have the foundations

But what if a person ,say a plumber who just got laid off frm his job due to the plumbing co. downsizing and he has no clue to how to operates a computer??
Would you advised him to go out and buy CCSE Sybex book and read...?
A good choice would be A+ and Net+ to give him/her(plumber) the foundations or stepping stone to go into the industry.
Some certifications are for entrylevel, some intermediatery level, some advanced level and some specialize level experience in this industry.
And at the end of it all...its up to the individual...maybe he wants to specialize in everything..hehehe who knows.

Cheers~~

As someone with some narrow areas of deep specialization, I can tell you that you need to fill in the gaps. Take a look at some of the job descriptions out there. They'll ask for MSCE, experience in various microsoft technologies, and CCNP/CCDP or CCIE and unix and linux and oracle and novell and C++ and perl etc etc etc or any conceivable combination. This is especially true if you want to be considered for anything other than entry level salary grades.

At a minimum you should have a strong foundation in Windows Administration and some Unix (or vice versa) in addition to your Cisco certs, whether you get certified in those areas or not.

Also there are a lot of shops out there that aren't 100% Cisco. Unless you are going to work for Cisco or a Cisco partner you better have some familiarity with non-Cicso products and technologies.
