Hi everyone,

I am using ICND book to prepare for CCNA exam. On switching it just talks about catalyst 1900 series switches and all commands related to that. I believe that 2900 series have different commands.

Can anyone you has recently sat for 640-607
guide me pls?

2900 commands are different from 1900, however I didn't get any 2900 questions when I took it. You might get one or two. You should know the 2900 commands anyway though, 2900XLs are very common in a lot of lans.

Yes, you should definitely know the 2900 commands. The best thing is to try and create a list of commands for each switch type as it can get confusing between the 1900 and the 2900.

There are many switches out there now that use these IOS based commands so it is good to know.
