hi, i was doing the questions over at celtic rovers site, and these are the questions i have questions about :

2) When you use the Cisco IOS command show configuration on a router, which part of the output shows the specific configured IP addresses and subnet masks?
A. IP host table.
B. Interface output.
C. Each section of the output.
D. The global configuration statements.
E. The section under the autonomous system number.

----------
It says the answer is A,,,shouldnt it be B ?
----------

4) Within a hierarchical number of IP addresses what determines the portion of the address that will identify the network number? [ Choose 1 ]
A. Subnet mask.
B. Dots between octets.
C. Class of the first octet.
D. Assignments of DHCP.
E. Address resolution process.

-----------
It says CLass of first octet is the answer, but i thought Subnet masks were use to identify the network portion of an ip address?
-----------

1) When would PPP most likely be used at a local workstation for Internet connectivity?
A. Directly connected to a LAN.
B. Directly connected to a router.
C. It will never be used on a workstation.
D. Dial-up access to the Internet.

----------
It says the answer is D for this one.. Can someone explain the logic behind this?
----------

3) If you start the router and it cannot find the Cisco IOS system image, what will happen?
A. The router will not operate.
B. The router will request that you make the Cisco IOS available.
C. You will have to manually set up the router in the setup mode.
D. The router will ask you to install any router operating system.

-----------
Here it says the answer is C.. This is totally wrong. You could use setup mode to manually setup the router if you cleared your nvram.. There should be a option here that states that the router would attempt to boot of a TFTP server, and then finally use the limited ROM IOS image , shouldnt it ?
-----------

Thanks

The order of your questions is freaked me out a little bit.

2) Interface output, just like the host table in windows show host only shows your mapping of IP addresses to host names

4) The key word is "hierarchical number" thus it is class otherwise you would be correct in saying subnet

1) The answer is Dial-up because most if not all Dial-up connections are made using PPP, if you have a dial-up connection now see what if it's using PPP. A bet it is!

3.) This question is bogus you are correct.
