finally did it .thanks to you all here .you weree of great help.
Materials used include : the sybex book by Todd
Many practice tests up to 700 formdifferent sites.
my advise to anyone taking it.
make sure you know subnetting very well to the point of subnetting mentally.know osi .i.e which protocol does what ,how to configure ip rip, understand igrp, frame relay, the 2 ppp authentication typesand how to congigure them. Also understand what switches do ,i.e. collision domain and co. ,what routers do and so on.
My sim had to do with 3 routers that were not communicating t find the problem.Used the show ip route command to see that router a and b were not communicating because ip rip was not enabled on the interface connecting them fixed that.
The second needed me to determine the valid address for two interfaces
wish you all the best | |

| Since i just passed the CCNA, i would like to move on to CCNP.But i heard that the current CCNP exam will be retired in august, i would like to know what happens if i take 2 out of the 4 required for the CCNP before august, what happens after? Does it mean i will have to retake the 2. | |

| Many folks asked this same question on the CCNP forum - short answer - no, but they're only good for a certain period of time. I don't remember the exact dates they'll honor the old tests through, but check out the CCNP forum.
