Well, after a long time of hard graft I passed the CCNA today.

I did find it very challenging to say the least, and at about 10 questions in, I thought I wasnt going to make it, but was pleasantly surprised to see the "Congratulations" on the screen at the end!

I ended up passing with a 898!!(somehow!)

My prep was as follows...

1st semester at Cisco Academy
Read the 2nd semester as self study
Then read the CCNA Exam Cram by Sheldon Barry
Then my work put on the ICND course a few weeks ago.(very helpful course)
Then spent two weeks studying like a demon at home after work (2-3hrs EVERY night!)

Ive had very minimal exposure to routers, so I think I fluffed both the 'sims' I got, but got 100% on about 3-4 other sections so....

Just like to say thanks to the site for pointing me to many useful resources.

Regards,
(A very relieved) Mark...

It pays off in the long run and you have the knowledge to prove you are a CCNA.

Way to go!

Woo..
Thanks for all the positive comments folks!

You'll be making my head even bigger!

I AM very relieved Ive got that one outta the way though...

Gonna take a little rest from the Cisco stuff for now, as work want me to be MCSA by the end of the year, so Ive got 3 more of those to do yet!

Ah well, back to the books...

Good luck people.

Cheers
Mark...
