Which practice test is closest in terms of hardness to the actual exams?
I will be taking the CCNA soon and want to evaluate my real chances soon.
I have tried Boson and Transcender and can get 80 to 90 on them usually

I like the Transcenders.. but can't compare them to Boson tests.. never taken one.

If you score a 70 on the transcenders, you can probably skim by on the actual exam.

I never see measureup.com mentioned for their CCNA test. I used them for my A+ and Network+ and thought that they were really good. Gave good explanations of what the right answer is and why the wrong answers are wrong. Has no one here used them for the CCNA or is it just that their CCNA tests arent that good?

After you guys mentioned Boson, I purchased and tried it.. I think they're great too..
Give you more options on the way you can take your practice tests..

Have taken 6 exams and Transcender never failed me yet. Take Trans until you score 900+ and carefully review each answer. I studied with books, hands on, then used Trans for the final push. Passed CCNA w/Trans help...I just keep hanging around this forum even though I passed CCNA weeks ago. I do enjoy passing info off to others.

I used the Boson Exams and the Simulator. The Simulator was not too shabby. However there are things you have to remember that are not on the simulator. COPY RUN START is not even mentioned. You're just supposed to know to do it. As for the boson tests. They weren't even close to how the real test was. I tried several others after failing by 30 points. But the boson was o.k. if you didn't know the material. You are supposed to take the test after passing all of the boson exams with 100. Well I did and still failed. I'm re-reading the Sybex book and I've obtained a Cisco Press Certification study guide for CCNA. I also found a very good study guide that is more like the questions that were on my test. And no I'm not going to advertise it here because I had to buy it. But this time I'm going "Loaded For Bear". It's really kind of embarrassing to be an experienced Network Engineer and fail a test that is supposed to measure what I should know. Next time I'll study for more than 2 days.
