| I will be sitting the CCNA on Monday, March 11th, and was hoping to get some idea what others had come up against on the test. I purchased a transcender for practice tests, and passed several of them with ease. My CNAP instructor gave me a 640-607 flash kit containing a test engine and flash cards. I took the first test and failed it miserably! Same with the next two. I was getting questions like: "What are the max VLAN's on a Catalyst 1900 switch with STP, and without?" or I'd get a router e-sim asking how to hook up an ISDN or Frame Relay connection. We've covered the terminology for those subjects, but have never hooked one up in the lab. I'm wondering now if I can pass based on the Networking Academy Program alone. Anybody else get questions about things they weren't instructed on? | |

| I was afraid someone might think I was looking for answers. Not so. I was just wondering if the CNAP gave enough info on Cisco hardware to pass the exam. I'm in the accelerated program, and we go through two chapters a week, do the labs, and move on. We'll finish the course in about six months. | |

| hello guys
there will a sample session of questions, and a sample session for practising the SIMULATION questions, before the actual exam starts, please do not skip both of them.

| Scott-
I think I might know the answer to your first question:
With the Enterprise Edition Software, Catalyst 1900 can have up to 64 VLANs with separate spanning tree per VLAN and up to 1024 port-based VLANs with ISL.

| darn, i wanted to answer the 1900 VLAN question!
I came out of a CCNA college course a couple months ago. I do some light reading from time to time. Before I take the exam I know I will be reading the book again!

| I never been to any CNAP...but I remember sometime ago when I met one of my old friend working as an instructor in a CNAP attached to a university here told me that the Cisco exams are purely based on the CNAP program, if something is not covered on the CNAP sure you wouldn't expect in the exam. True? |
