| Ok i have installed a wic dsu-t1 card in a 3620 and i can't get the line protocol up. I have config the service-mod t1 settings as
timeslots 1-16 speed 64
esf
B8zs
lmi ansi
timing is coming from the switch(telco)
the s0/0 int is config properly because the int is up.
Telco see's a lot of crc's scrolling and lmi is down.
fyi- there is an exact same card in s0/1 and it has the same problem. When I jack back into the original config 3640 serail to v.35 dsu/csu the circuit comes up fine. IOS is 12.2 13b.
HELP !! TIA | |

After doing some research I found that version 11.2 and above use auto-sense for the LMI which allows the interface to determine the LMI type needed. This leads me to believe that with the configuration you were using you could have a misconfigured LMI type. You may wnat to check witht he Telco and determine the type of LMI they are using or stick with auto-sense.

| are you gettting rid of all of your old configs by using the "no ... " command in the config t mode before enabling your new commands? Then after you enter your new commands, are you entering the wr mem commands? I don't know if it will work, but it is worth a try since you no doubt have your original working config stored somewhere in a txt file. | |

| I have verified with telco the lmi type and even config that port from scracth where i assigned ip and that was it. The boss will be here Monday so I will see what he comes up with and post here to share the out come. | |

| The timing of the channels is what was missed. i selewcted 1-16 channels of the t1 but what I did not know is that the the t1 was channelized. So the correct channels are 7-22. The timing is coming off of channel 7.
Kinda of interesting. thanks all for youor help !!

| Cool that you got it figured out. Now if I ever run into that problem with a T-1/T-3, I'll either know what to look for... or who to contact |
