No exam is hard if you know the answers before hand.

May I ask what hands on or commercial experience you have with Cisco routers and switches.

Lexy,
I understand the importance of hands on and honest studying. Apparently you don't think highly of testking, so which vendor do you respect for practice questions?

Hi Larkspur,

Well the practice tests that accompany the Cisco press and Sybex books are very good indeed, those along with reading both books, doing each lab and taking notes should be enough.

Lina, in other words you have no hands on experience. I was just curious as to why you would say the test is really easy. One would assume that you were very experienced in the particular field. Others might say that testking got you through.

I am no highness; I believe that I should fail on my own merits and learn from the experience as opposed to being given the exam on a plate before I have even sat the test.

It is the choice between a hollow victory and a proud achievement.

Every one has his/her own openion and i shall respect that point of view for every one .

Congrats on your pass. A pass is a pass. The comment about you need alot of hands on router experience to pass the CCNA is not correct. Sure hands on experience helps but if you don't, I don't believe it cheapens youe cert.

By the way how were you able to get through the sim questions without at least a router e-sim? I know TK is good but I'm preparing for the exam itself without any router hands on except e-sim support.

Try the CCNP exams without Testking, I look forward to your comments on the routing exam.

Dear trogers5 : i used Boson simulator 4.15 and also the flash cards provided by sybex and also i used boson software product regarding the demo tests ... besides all of that ; i used my company's router to have some " HANDS ON " ; so i had no problem to take some kind of routers and switches to home " FREE " to get some " EXPERIENCE " asif i dont work in the same field :P i hope that u heard that my sexy lexy

... Dear Sexy lexy : i have a better idea ; try to set your incomming CCNA exam without any supplements or practising ;; just have ur " HANDS ON EXPERIENCE " alone and also i am waiting for your comments and also your score report

also i will set my BSCN after couple of weeks and i will use the same way as what i did before

trogers5,

I don't know if you're reading a book, but Tood Lammle's Sybex book comes with a cd that has some very good labs, and it's free with the book. Ofcourse it's not the full version, which has ALL of the labs that you can do following the book and is excellent. I'm doing them right now as going through the book, but i also have access to routers at school.. But the CCNA Lab gold edition is more than enough to sit the CCNA exam in my opinion.

I never use "supplements" as you pointed out, just call braindumps what they are please. It is very amusing to hear that you do not have to practice for a hands on exam

As hands on experience goes I have more than enough commercial experience to ensure that I will be well prepared for this exam, as soon as I have sat the test I will be more than happy to let you know the results

It is reassuring to see that you are consistent in your revision methods. Feel free to let me know about the outcome of the next interview you attend if you decide to apply for a position in another company

Well, I hope that where ever you are, they just pay attention to what your resume says and not what you actually know. You can present yourself to be a CCNP, but will you be able to perform on the job?

And if you think that your employer won't care if you know what you say you do, and they'll teach you everything once you start the job, then you are wrong. Those days are far gone. Now a days you have to go through 3 - 5 meetings with the employers. They do test you technical knowledge. Even if they open that Sybex book and read some questions right out of the book, but they defenatly do.

So, I wish you luck, because you're gonna need it.

I dont know what to tell you guys .. u r really confused me ... as i mentioned before ... the exam wasnt that much hard as i am doing the basics and more of cisco tasks in my daily work routine .... u know what also .... - and i think that will really surprise you for sure - i dont believe in such a paper or certificate will exactly measure up your skills or as what dim said what really you know ;;; i took the exam and again as dim said - or as i understand - i took it such to add it in my resume next time i will go for an interview ... i think when employer will interview u ;; ;he will look FIRST into what resume you give and what cers u have - as a FIRST thing - then the real work will improve ur skills and will show your technical skills for sure and am not worried at all about that .. am i right or what ????

and sure i will need the luck in my life ;; it is a rule now adays .. and can u please dim tell me where is that lucky guy whos not going to need some LUCK in his life ;; i will be glad to meet such a person

any way .. i aplogize if you guys didnlt like or agree with my openion .. i am satisfied and convinsed and that all what i care about ; as long as i respect yours

P.S. I used to like Jeorge Cel. he is my favorite actor but now i hate him :s

As dim correctly stated, wait until the interview then you will see the value of braindumps, maybe you can take one along with you and see if they help? After all they helped in the exam so why not in an interview as well?

Then, when they interview a candidate that has the knowledge and studied for the exam, the person who can answer the questions they are asked (One of those people whom you ridicule) then you will realise why they have been given the position.

Something that was stated last year, "I love people who use braindumps as they make me look even better in interviews."

You should read your signature again.

Thanks everyone for the advise regarding prepping for the CCNA test.

I have the ICND text and the Lammie's text book on the CCNA.

I also, have the CCNA Router and Switch eSIMM.

I know the Boson sim is good but I don't have it available.
Has anyone had any experience with the Cisco e-SIMM for the CCNA? I assume its good because its Cisco's official e-SIMM regarding the CCNA sims.

Oh! yes I also have the CCNA CBT which seems extremely good.

I think it is great that you pass the test a pass is a pass. I use Labs sybex books and oh boy here it goes so called brian dumps. I have little money and I can not afford to fail a test so I cover all bases. I study for two to two and a half months for each test. I do the work I pass the tests.

Great job Lina

Great Job on passing your CCNA test! What a relief that must be. Don't let anyone try to knock you off their cloud. EVERYONE has his/her opinion and sometimes those people get to high on themselves and begin thinking EVERYONE wants to hear it. Just ignore those comments.

I didn't think it was possible to dump the CCNA exam??

Sure you can memorize stolen copyrighted material questions but what about the labs? You can't dump them?

And I'm assuming that you will never get a real job running routers if you dump an exam. How will you make it past the interview?

Couldn't have put it better myself.

What is even worse is that fact that people are congratulating her, and for what?

Memorising answers to questions that are in the exam before hand, quite an achievement by anyone's standards.

It does not matter how you try and defend or justify braindumps, you are cheating and ruining it for everyone else but as you are selfish why should you worry?

Oh please ;;; talk in a little logic :s

and can i ask u who had used the brain dumps ??!?! sure it is not me .. actually if i had the time .. i would use them before i sit the exam

i dont know why shall i fail an exam if i have the supplements and the required help materials for that .. i have to give it a try
..right ??!?!?! it is not a reason that u have to be an Extra-Expert to be a certified ... think a little about that .. i guess it is enough that i had my chance .. and yes i admit that i am selfish ( not that much ) but i am .. it is my way in life and community " If you were not a WOLF ... then other WOLFs will eat you " ....

i will miss you all guys for the next 4 days i am going on a sun solaris course in south africa - just tha basics :/

maybe we can continue this fruitfull conversation when i came back
