guys,

im new to MRTG and I need your expertise.

*what are the information/data can we extract from an MRTG?

*can you give me some advice on what's the best software available for LAN/WAN monitoring (e.g. what's up, sniffer, system walker and etc.)

You can monitor lots of stuff...just look through the examples. Very easy to set up.
