| Hi all,
I am just about to complete an A+ cert, and am wondering if a CCNA would be a good next step?
is it easier to get a CCNA now that it is divided into to seperate exams?
Are there any rules that you have to take both exams, very close together?
Also how many hours of studying dose each exam take?
Regards

| My guess is there will be less to study but will cost you more money (because there's two). | |

| It may be easier per test because it is separated now, but I think overall it is harder because they added content.
You have 3 years from when you pass the first exam to take the second one...much better than comptias time allowance between the 2 for a+.

| so you have to pass the 2 exams to achieve CCNA(?)
if you passed the first exam... what will be your certification??? CCNA(1/2) | |

| You now have the option of taking it in 2 parts. There is still a single exam but it is supposed to be a little harder now. | |

| I just passed the 640-801 - the two new CCNA's taken as a single test and I do not think it is harder or easier than 640-607 - the old one.
It is much more relevant now because there is no more IPX and Novell-ACL. Instead there is more dynamic routing configuration and troubleshooting such as OSPF and EIGRP, which is much more usable and a great introduction to the first CCNP-exam - Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (The CCNP-routing exam). |
