I'm considering buying testing software to help prepare for 640-801. I'm looking at Boson and Whizlabs. Any opinions? Has anyone used these products?

Boson Router Sim was pretty good and I think they have improved it since. I got their whole CCNA test somehow. It was hard in a not nice way -- seemed to ask twiddley questions over stuff covered in weird ways with a weird slant.

I recommend the FREE CCNA online exam at CertTutor.com It is a butt kicker. It is not just the most obscure trivia, they are problems to solve using the stuff that you did cover in your study. (Must have MSIE) I passed it but not by much and I HAVE my CCNA. You could also try my FREE CCNA practice exam (had to do something with all those practice questions I saved up)

I used the sybex books for study and got the virtual labs, (which I am now using for CCNP) They are very good as they have pratice labs with them. But if you are able to get your hands on the real thing (some 1600 routers for example, then all the better. In my exam I I had to fault find and config a new router not too difficult. Don't get too hung up on the sims in the exam, just be level headed and think, don't forget to check connectivity between routers, with the handy old ping.
