1- Is there any questions on Supernetting ... I repeat Supernetting not subnetting

2- Is there any NAT questions in the exam especially on the Sims.

3- Without violating your agreement with cisco, can someone tell me what most sims on the exam focus on ? i.e : Frame Relay, VLAN's, RIP, IGRP, ISDN or Troubleshooting.

4- I'm almost 99% sure that there will be no IPX questions, but what about ISDN and Password Recovery .. how heavy they are tested.

I'm taking the exam in a few days, and it is the old one by the way 640-607.

Thanks in advance.

Whats the point of trying to find out what is on the exam.

There is a large test bank. And its important to know it all. So just learn it all, be prepared and kick some arse.

Good point dude ... how about not testing myself with Testing softwares like boson and transcenders ... but wait a second I believe that many guys failed this exam once, twice and even more ... excuse me brother but don't you think that this forum is dedicated for helping each other to pass the exam ... not to say something like what you said ... ofcourse I know my material, but why do I have to suffer in the exam ... I'm just asking to have a feeling of the exam. We don't need to invent the wheel again do we

By the way, I could just go and get one of those braindumps flaoting everywhere and it's over. But what that gonna do for me in real life. Nothing. I won't be able to success in the real world even if I got my certification. I'm just asking about what type of questions that will come in the exam. I didn't ask for the questions that will in the exam. Don't you think that there is a big difference.

Regards.

Rock on. Im glad you realize this.

I have heard that there are a few superneting questions on the CCNA from my cisco academy instructor. I'm not sure about the NAT configrutions. We are doing that in the CCNP right now. I know they moved the concepts to the CCNA though.

I think ISDN and frame relay are still heavily in the BCRAN exam. However you will still need to know about them, like general pvc questions and show commands.

Vlan configuration is covered on CCNP BCMSN. However, they may ask you on what they do and why they are used.

I'm sure you will have a sim on RIP or RIPV2, IGRP , and possibly access-lists. Know how to apply them and which directions they can go.

Know how to configure sub interfaces.

Hope this helps

No, the purpose of the forum is to assist in the understanding of the technical aspects of Cisco. It is your knowledge that will get you thru the exams, not answers to the types of questions you posed.

1. There are CIDR questions on the exam.

2. NAT isn't covered on 640-607, but you should know IOS ACLs.

3. In reading various posts on this and other forums it appears that most simulation questions cover RIP, possibly with a subnet problem thrown in. One post mentioned configuring ACLs, but that was the only reference I have seen on that sort of problem.

4. Maybe some basic questions on ISDN and TE1, TE2, router with built in TE1, ISDN reference points, etc. Haven't seen anyone getting any IPX questions recently. You should probably know the basic configuration register settings, how to change them, what areas they set the router to boot from, etc.

New CCNAs are probably giving their brains a break, or moving on to the next hurdle.

Good luck on the exam!!!

Well I did the exam last Friday. The old one that is.

I will say that NAT was only ever flagged as "Extra Credit" in Wendel Odom's 607 book, I believe supernetting was as well. This means it won't be on the exam, according to Wendel, and who am I to disagree?

I won't say anything about the sims (I have no wish to get my head bitten off!) other than that they are VERY EASY if you have read the above mentioned book, and used a sim or played around with a proper router.

Don't fear this exam, respect it. Read the book properly and do the sims (I used Boson) and you'll do fine.
