A 1900 switch has a menu based interface as well as command line and the command line is similar to IOS but there are slight differences in command structure and there are less commands ( i think).
Generally all ports are 10baseT with 100baseT ports for the uplinks

A 2950 switch is an IOS based switch and the ports are 10/100baseT with the uplink ports being 100Mb FX or 1Gig ports.

The 2950 only supports "Store and Forward" switching of frames, where as the 1900 supports all 3 flavors.
