| Hi all, I have Network+, and going for CCNA 640-801, and MCSA. Also, I am a Computer Engineering student. I have 2 years PC Tech experience.
Do you think I have a future here? The economy seems too shaky.
To those in the industry, is the cert going to weigh anything.
Please get back.

| that depends on you
if you're good enough to set yourself apart from all the cookie-cutter brain-dumping clones;
and you're willing to learn and put in the effort to make up the rest
you'll make it.  | |

| According to the "experts", Tech jobs will be in high demand over the next decade. Hopefully they are right. As for finding a job right now, I think that it depends on your interviewing skills. With jobs as tight as they are at the moment, breaking in is not easy. If you are currently working as a PC Tech, is there any room for advancement? If not, you might look for a desktop support job with a larger company that will allow you to advance as your skills warrant. The consulting group that I am with routinely hires people to help with desktop rollouts, upgrades, etc, and allows them to advance as long as positions are available and their skills warrant advancement. |
