I'm currently taking semester 1 of the Cisco Academy and am about to write the final exam. Could someone please tell me what the format of the exam is? ie. Number of questions, areas most heavily covered and some study hints if ya got them. Thanx alot!

Just finished CCNA1v3. Started CCNA2v3 today. Final exam is 60 questions for us. It is not too difficult if you have done well on each chapter test and completed your labs. If you didn't score over 80% on each CCNA1v3 Chapter test, you may have difficulty with the final. I understand the test changes or varies depending on class and location, so obtaining questions and answers from a student at another location in the U.S. doesn't guarantee that you will be taking the same on-line test.

Just don't do what I did. I would have made a 100% on the final but I managed to miss the (select 3 answers) at the end of question #58 and only marked 2 of the 3. So I missed one question of the 60 on the test due to a bone-headed mistake.

Yeah I hate those freakin multiple answer questions. Well I wrote my semester 1 final, and got a 65. With the passing score being 70, I was quite pissed off. Went to the college today and found out that cisco dropped the passing score to 60 for the exam. Apparently the world average was 60. Out of the 24 people in our course only 6 got a score over 70. 4 of them had 71 and no one was over 78.

I know we all shoot for that 90 - 100 range on a test, but in the end all that matters is that "p" or "f"!

Congrats on the "Passed"!!!

Congrats to you also. How long did you have for each semester? That was the main factor in the difficulty at our college. We were writing 2 module test a week. Finished the semester in approx. 6-7 weeks with 2 hours of class time per day. Not to mention the other 3 courses to go along with it.

We had 8 weeks to cover all 11 modules in CCNA1. Class meets four days a week for 2hrs and 20 minutes. We have a really good and patient instructor. He makes sure we get it. 98% of the class passed and moved onto CCNA2.

It seemed like we were testing every other day, but again, as I said, our instructor was really good with the tough stuff.
