I am taking the exam this Thursday. I was wondering if Class A and B subnetting is on the exam. I remember the course I took, the instructor mentioned that Class C only is on the exam, is this true? Also no IPX correct? and lastly is there any binary questions on the exam? Please let me know...besides these questions I am pretty confident about the exam. Thanks for all your help.

I did not encounter any Class A subnetting other than ie: which one of this ip address is the host? kinda of questions.I do encouter Class C and B subnetting questions thou and simulations questions based on mostly class C.

And there is no more IPX questions but i won't do u no harm in learning it as in the real world case, there is a lot of corps. still using IPX.

Just out of curiosity, which exams will you be taking??#640-607 or the new ones??

Hope this helps~~

Nope!,on both occasion(took 2 xams, failed the 1st one) i did not encounter any binary conversion or sumthing like that.

BUt then again, isn't Subnetting have some thing ..no all things to do with binary conversion?

oh well, dun want to caused any confusion as there are lots of ways to do subnetting and binary conversion is one of them so..lets leave it at that.

cheers~

For subnetting I'm using the formula to calculate instead of the old binary way of calculating.
