can anybody confirm if eigrp and ospf are in the new CCNA 640-801 exam

Don't know for sure, but Cisco recommends taking ICND 2.0 (or 2.1) ICND 2.0 covers:

"Describe the features and operation of static and dynamic routing, including RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, and OSPF"

I wouldn't expect it to cover much more than knowing which are vector, link-state and hybrid protocols, and what that means.

I would anticipate needing to do basic configuration for these - better to be safe than sorry.

I've writen the 640-801. You will definetly get both OSPF (in a single area) and EIGRP. Not too much on the configuring, but you need to know the characteristics of each routing protocol VERY well!
