| Wrote the new CCNA exam yesterday and passed with 900. The biggest obstacle you will face is TIME! I found myself with 2mins left and still 6 questions remaining.
Know subnetting back to front! They will try and trick you by giving you a B class address and telling you that 7 bits were used for subnets IE you have a subnet mask of /23 (16 from class B + 7. I got about 8 questions on VLSM's.
I got 4 sims most relating to basic routing. IE configure RIP and add the networks. One simm where you had to configure an extended access-list and apply it to an interface.
Not that many questions on actual commands. I guess they figure these will be covered in the CCNP exams anyway (which they are).
Did not get a single question on commands for DDR / ISDN etc. Only theory asked.
Very little asked on FR which I found surprising.
Lots of questions on Access-Lists! Know these very well!!
Good Luck and watch the time!!!! | |

| I regret that I should have tried to get 801. I think it's not as tough as it seems to be.... I got 607 last month...

| I used the Official Cisco study material you receive when attending the ICDN V2.1 course. (I did not look at any of the INTRO course or material. However you do need to know this)
I also used the free Boston, Trancender, Self Test, SimulationExams tests to see if I knew my work.
As long as you study the ICDN V2.1 material and have hands on experience on Cisco switches and routers, you'll do fine!
Cheers,
