Hi all,
The CCNA test pattern has changed. The syllabus is the same but the number of questions has been increased to 70 and the number of sims has been increased to 4.
2 sims from routing and 2 from WAN technologies(1 ISDN,1 FrameRelay).so all test takers Beware and go prepared.

Thanks cybertechno for your post. Should we use new resources now to prepare?!

If I recall correctly ISDN/Frame relay configuration was part of the objectives before this new format.

I would think that you could use the same study material.

Hi all,
People think it is a rumour,then its upto u.But don't tell me I didn't warn u.
CISCO never tells u about the number of questions they will ask u in the test its has always been a range and never a fixed number.
so if u still don't trust me wait for anyone writing the test soon, and then there will be another CAUTION post.
The time has also been increased to 2:30 hrs.
But u can use the same test material.I repeat the number of questions have only been changed. The test fee has also been increased(Indian Rupees 12,500).The changes apply from January 15 2003.

The reason I get pissed is because you do get folks like me and my bud who study their asses off, and get ready to fork over the $$, and then you throw a wrench in the plan when you cause the anxiety of saying the course test has changed.

I have my exam on thursday. I have asked my testing centre to confirm if there are any changes in the exam format.

I also checked the price on prometric site and it hasnt changed.

I will post a reply on thursday to say if it has changed or not.

Just pass the CCNA today (1/28/03)

dont know what is the different..

but I get 3 simulation.... and it was long one too..

1st one 3 routers...configure e0, s0, s1 secret password, router rip and clock rate.

2nd ..3 routers, need to configure only one for passwd, RIP, and clock rate

3rd...3 routers, configure all the routers..
same as the 1st one..

get 100% of that...pretty easy...

beside that...cannt remember..

good luck

First of all congratulations e_mc2 on your pass, well done.

Secondly, until there is an official announcement or other members have confirmed that the test has changed then it would be best to carry on as normal. Exams are stressful enough without added complications or confusion.

Finally, can we at least be polite to each other?

Thanks in advance.
