ok guys!
could someone answer me this question:

In windows when local network sharing is done through TCP/IP, unless you correctly configure IP/Subnet mask or use DHCP, you wonlt be bale to browse the local network. I have been asking myself this question. I always thought that when you click on network neighberhood, windows sends everything using broadcast address 255.255.255.255 or does it only send the broadcast adress to a specified network?

Anyone?

I know it is pathetic to asnwer your own question but i think i know the answer! The deal is that it send not to all nodes broadcast 255.255.255.255, but to a specified network That would explain it!
Tell me if i am right

Not exactly. You should refer to the following link for an explanation of how the Windows browser service works.
