| Nothing beats the real thing. If you can, get your workplace to give you some loan hardware. If this is not possible try and hook up with a mate at a telco or something that might have some spares lying around.
If all else fails then by all means use a simulator but be aware that you are not going to get full functionality from it.
I used RouterSim 3.1 which was OK for the basic stuff. I have heard that Boson Router Simulator is good also although I haven't tried this as I now have some loan hardware.
Any comments from anyone on the capailities of the Boson Simulator?
