Just passed 640-607 with a 911/1000 and became a CCNA. ohhhhh yeah!

Its a fantastic feeling guys and spurs you on to greater heights let me tell you.

Failed it monday with a 733, didn't look at home much time i had on the exam just started answering questions and realised when i looked at the clock i had 25minutes left and had answered 19/50... then i paniced and it was all over red rover. Learned from my mistakes,

Took the exam Friday and bammo passed with a 911!

Let me make no bones about it, this exam is difficult and you simply have to know your sh@#. If you dont you WILL fail.

That is unless you use a braindump tool like 's latest version. What a joke that product is, it has so many questions that are on the exam, there's a big scam going on at i believe, they have payed off a sylvan prometic testing centre, gotten all the ccna 640-607 questions - reworded only the names of some of the questions but the sentences, wording, selections EVERYTHING is the same as the exam questions - they ARE the exam questions, its really f!@#$ed because for people out there like myself who have poneyd up $2500 AUD to attend the Cisco Networking Academy for 6months plus the cost of extra materials and there's not so nice persons out there just dumping these practice exams and they will pass if there lucky.

But the difference between them and i? I know my stuff and have been practicing it for months and i feel very confident i can do what i've learnt about on the job in a corporate environment proficiently.

so the materials i used you ask?

1: Attending Cisco Networking Academy 4hours a night 2 nights a week for 6months
i thoroughtly recommend hte networking academy if you want to learn gain a solid base of internetworking skills.
2: Read Cisco's CNAP First year and Second Year Companion Guides
3: Read through parts of Todd Lammell's 640-507 study guide of material i didn't totally understand.
4: Practiced On a Cisco 2500 Router heaps doing all the Cisco IOS commands specified in the exam objectives.
5: Did NOT do bullsh#$ practice exam questions from , i downloaded the product 2hours before i went to sleep the night before the exam which was at 9am, read through some of the questions and was flabbergasted that they the SAME questions as i got on my failed exam.

just a tip about the exam, get heaps of hands on on a router, beg borrow and steal to get your hands on a real router, if your serious about becoming proficient in cisco technologies and knowing your stuff simulators just dont cut it,

I've taken 4 microsoft exams and let me make this perfectly clear, Cisco exams are more difficult - less time, higher pass mark.

I feel rewarded passing this exam and feel its a valuable credential.

What do you guys think, is the CCNA worth the paper its written on? is the 607 more difficult then the 507?

- Peace out

Hey good job! Well I've heard that the 607 has SIMS and the 507 didn't.

Good show...

I ahve taken 7 Microsoft exams, and so far, I feel 1000% better about having a Cisco cert than an MS cert.
