| I just got a hold of 2 cisco routers. One 1601 and one 2610. The 2610 has a T1 WIC. The 1601 has a flash card I believe 4mb in it. Any suggestions on how to set the 2 routers up in a starting lab? Thanks....

| Does the 1600 have a serial interface in it, I always forget that. If not I think they both should have a ethernet port. You could try that | |

| The 1601 does indeed have a serial port (and a WIC slot if I remember rightly) - try and get hold of another router if possible then routing labs (RIP,IGRP,EIGRP etc.) become more productive. | |

| Before I purchase a third router, what kind of lab scenarios can I do with these two? Thanks for the input! | |

| Get all the basics done first. Feel comftable configuring the router, uploading new IOS, saving configs, resetting the password etc. Play as much as you can because it will stick in your mind then...
Also try doing some work on Access List security. Two routers is more than enough for that.... |
