I used Sybex CCNA 640-607, Boson & testking pre-test.

After 2 weeks of study I guess the score is ok .

Thanks all because I first planed to do the exam last week afetr only ~1 week of study with an old cisco 507 book and Boson and you told me that I should not only rely on boson to know if I was ready and you were right.

Know let's have a break and then study for the CCNP .

Talking about CCNP which one is supposed to be the "less difficult" :
Routing
Swicthing
Remote Access

I found switching to the easier of the three you listed, then routing, and well Remote Access can be challenging. I used Cisco press books for all.

Its a braindump which i suggest u dont use..that guy was able to pass one of the toughest entry level exam with just 2 weeks of preparation coz he used one of the braindumps....In other words he is a Paper CCNA & he doesnt know what does CCNA stand for

I found it on kazaa, it's only questions that help you to know if you are ready to take the exam. One good point is that all the incorrect answers are explained in a few lines.

I'm only registered on this forum for a couple of weeks but some people here think that it's some kind of cheat because the questions are really similar to the real cisco questions.

Well, it is for sure cheating if you only buy this document and try to memorize all the questions without even thinking about learning the topics covered by the ccna exam.

I used it as a complement of Boson to know if I was ready to take the exam.

Anyway the key point to pass the exam is to find the right book, and the new Sybex CCNA 2nd edition by Lammle is an excellent book it's all I can say. This book is easy to read and the important chapter are covered in the labs of the CiscoRouterSim included on the CD.

Edit : 2nd edition of the deluxe book which equal to the 3rd edition of the standard book.

Do we know each other ?
I guess you are a poor fortune teller, am I right ?

First, I knew all the key chapters of the CCNA exam before starting to study for it because I am working in the networking field. All I didn't know were the troubleshouting commands for specific problems and I didn't know much about frame Relay also.

So, I started to study with an old cisco press book that was not that good for 1 week and then I came on this forum. A lot of people were saying that the Sybex book was a good one.
So, I BOUGHT the Sybex CCNA deluxe 2nd edition book and I read and did all the exercices inside -> 6 days + notes. Then I did all the preparation test included on the sybex cd : 1 day. Then I used Boson -> 1 day. Then I used a test that I found on kazaa which is called testking and which is not so up to date compared to the lastest version of Boson -> 1 more day.

And when I'm saying that it took me only 2 weeks, it's 2 weeks full time !! (I was on holiday) full time = 4-7 hours/day

Maybe you need 3 month if you are not on holidays and you are only working on it during the week-end. Or maybe when you don't know anything about networking you need to study for 1 year.
But in my case I didn't need to study more than 2 weeks and if you don't believe me I don't care. The CCNA exam is not that hard and the testking I found did not help me more than boson.

The only thing that helped me to get my CCNA was my Sybex book, point.

Edit : spelling mistakes

Thanks, I've already started to study for the BCMSN exam and it is supposed to be the less difficult with BSCN.
But all I can say is that it's getting really challenging this time and I will need much more time to get my BCMSN (plus I am not on holiday anymore ).

Is the Test King 640-607 really any good. I got the full version and I was surprised by the labs, they look the same as the real exam. Are the questions pretty close?
Don't worry about people making comments about paper CCNA's. Are they paying your bills and helping to raise your family etc
