Remember, a lot of people post here, and those who fail, dont always post that they failed. The best way to study for me at least is this:

A. Print out the objectives. Cisco more or less tells you what will be on the exam(now its very possible to get some topics not listed in the objectives). Mark off what you know as you move on. That will sortive give you a status of where you are at.

B. TAKE NOTES!!!!!! Nothing is more helpfull, and you will learn much faster.

This is normally I said to people if they are ready to take on CCNA.

If you have to think about what are the 7 layers of OSI and cannot recite it in your sleep, you are not ready. If you cannot do the sub netting without a calculator, you are not ready. If you don't know the difference of hub, bridge, swith and router, you are not ready.

Once you have know them, you just do Internetworking, LAN and WAN.

Lots of them are not understanding, they are simply memorization, FLASH CARDS!!!

Good luck, and no, not everyone passed the exam.
