| Well..Guys i passed CCNA with a score of 987.....for the Past 2 weeks i slept cisco , ate cisco & ofcourse drank cisco  They asked concepts....and u have to have ur concepts clear otherwise u wouldnt do good on it.....I used Measureup , Boson , Exam Essentials , Transcenders for the Practise Questions ..As for books i used ICND & Sybex ......Much of the Exams emphasis was on Routing & Switiching....Not much of OSI model in it i would say....three questionsn about subnetting.....One of the Simulations was very tricky i would sayy...The Key to this exam is get as many practise questions as u can and u will pass....There were questions about cabling too.....All in all the Test was easy for me coz i was prepared....iam on to CCNP now...if u got any questions regarding the exam u can ask me... | |

Very nice score. Did you attend Cisco Networking Academy or just use several sources to gain the knowledge required to do so well on the exam?
Myself, I attended academy at local Community college and have two other reference books as well. The simulation question that was tricky, was it difficult to determine what the question was looking for? In other words, were the instructions clear as to what the expected outcome should be? The one reference book I have has practice tests and there is one simulation question that asks for a password, however the instructions do not specify what the password should be. Did you have any like that?

| pctekus..as for ur question..No i didnt attend any Cisco Academy courses....it was self stufy all the way...and for Practise i used simulators from Boson & Router Sim...Both of them were Good....and the The instructions about the Sims on exam are clear....Its just that maybe i didnt come cross any scenario like that before so i had a hard time..All u have to do is read very carefully what they want u to do...and u will be able to do it.....and once again practise as many Questions as u can before u try the real thing...and one day before the exam Relax....Go to the exam with a Positive attitude.....and as about the password Question..they give the passwords for all the lines which u have to configure ..so dont worry about it.....Password sims r piece of cake......Hope that helps | |

well If i help u...u willl Thank me...but what about the ppl from whom i bought those practise tests...they would curse me u can ask me as many questions about the exam and i can help u with free practise tests too...but hey i bought those practise tests so i have an agreement with them that i wouldnt distribute the tests among others....so i dont wanna break laws...sorry for that.....if i can be of any help to u excluding giving away of Copy rights materials..i will be glad  | |

| Hi there everyone, Congrats on passing.I will be taking my ccna 607 in a couple of weeks.I'm still weak on subnets any tricks that anyone can give me. I having on a tuff time on the sims in the new cisco book (certification book). Can you pass the test if do poorly on the simms. | |

| For questions regarding tricks on subnetting i remembered the whole chart of classes B & C so i wouldnt be wasting much time on calculations during the exam..and beleive me making the chart isnt tough.....anyway for subnetting queries i recommend Freak`s guide on subnetting..its excellent ..Do read it....its on www.mcsefreak.com/subnetting...and if u do poorly on sims..u will Fail..beleive me......they r the most heavily weighted.......but they r very easyy..just a bit tricky...but if u find out what u need ...its very easy....hope this helps.... |
