| I would suggest taking the Network+ exam first, if you don't already have alot of experience. The Network+ exam provides you with a general knowledge base that will help you understand some of the CCNA material.

| If you can get a lab, at the very least get a simulator(I like esim, comes with test, sim, pictures, videos, for 100). A lab will help you get a better overall understanding. For example I have seen people get confused on simple issues such as DCE and DTE devices, working hands on with it, makes it go away. TAKE NOTES. I could of cut my studying time down by a month if I had taken them initially. Also you might have a hard time with subnetting, as many do. Dont just skip it for the test. Dont just say you understand it. DO EXAMPLES. If you do, it is the easiest part of the exam. I got at least 5 subnetting questions, and I have known people who failed the test just because they did not know it. |
