I did it this morning
passed with 962.

A word to the wise: My first sim was kind of freaky. The stated task was quite easy but there may be some meta-things going on to test your mettle when things do not work as expected. If that is the case, then it's diabolically clever; Keep your cool, don't give up, and thinking outside the box will be helpful. Either that or it was just a prometric glitch, who knows??

I missed both lab questions because of something similar. I tried to console into the routers from the virtual host with the dotted line. It would not let me in... I verified the hyperterm settings at 9600, 8, none, 1 but still wouldn't let me in! I had to move on because I was running out of time.
This was very frustrating. I'm still waiting for Prometric to reply to my complaint.
I use hyperterminal almost everyday to console into cisco devices and never have problems.
Congrats on passing!

Congrads on the high mark, maybe it was a glitch

Yes exactly. When I first saw the task I was very confident but after I tried about six different ways to get in, my hands were shaking. Eventually it let me in using the console that didn't work in the first place, something happened that made me try it again. I had heard of those glitches but....something about the way this whole picture painted made me think it might be deliberately planned that way by some evil Cisco torturemeister to eat time... And my second sim did not behave that way at all--it was straightforward and easy.

I'd be curious to know how your complaint turns out. Did you say something to the exam admin while it was happening?

BTW, cross... thanks!

I did talk with the test admin onsite. They couldn't help...

I'm still waiting on Prometric to get back to me.

I passed the test on 7/12 with 860...

I had no problems with the lab simulations. I did find out Prometric had given me a credit for a free test because of the problems I had with the sims the first time. There was definitly something buggy with the sims on the first test I took.

Did anyone having this kind of issue with VUE? How is Prometric comparing with VUE? Which one should I go for the exam?
