What exactly do you mean by guide, are you looking mainly for help in a certin area, or mainly for what meterials to use use for studing?

I suggest Sybex CCNA Study guide. Optionally Cisco Press CCNA exam prep. Also ESMIN by cisco press is GREAT. If you can afford it, I recomend 2 routers from EBAY(2501). With everything and a decent OS, will prob run around 500, but NOTHING compares to using the real thing. Plus it adds more value.

Seriously.
Just gave this information on another post

Bookmark the following:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/10...grams/ccna.html

The above will give you your Table of Contents. Note the subject matter does change periodically. For my studies for each test I copied the course Table of Contents, seperating each on a separate sheet and made notes. Result was a 920+ on each exam.
NOTE: I did use both Sybex and Cisco Press books.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/home/home.htm

Information on every piece of equipment that will be discussed.

http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/Suppo...uting_Protocols

Every LAN / WAN protocols.

As you progress in your training you'll be referring to these sites more and more frequently.

RE: Sybex and CiscoPress. I have yet to come across any reference or test material that was completely reliable.
Ususally the contents are wrong or there may be a diagram or two that has bad information
