| Well I passed the 607 the other day with 885. First of all thanks for the people in this forum as they helped me out on a few questions - again thanks.
What can I say for people about to take the exam?
Well first of all it was not as hard as thought or would of liked it too be. I was looking forward to the sims the most but I was really disappointed, first of all this exam was the first 607 to be taken at this test centre and when the exam started it asked to be rebooted.. to cut a long story short I was working about 30 mins later.
Anyway....back to my thoughts on the exam
Read the question as the first time it will not make any sense, then read it again and it may start to ring some ideas, then again and again. I must of read every question about 5-6 times as they are worded extremely badly and I even had a question that asked me to pick out the correct device when 2 of them were correct and it was a 50/50 to see which one they wanted (I had 3 of these) that is why my store is a bit lower than I would of hoped.
Things to swat up on:
Subnetting
ISDN
OSI layers
Router commands - and routing protocols etc
Anyway good luck to all those who plan to take it.
PS I used Transcender and Boson as the practise exams - don't bother if you think some of the question will appear, with Sybex as the main book | |

| The Boson tests are good to practice your knowledge. The sims are OK but they did not prepare me for the test as the tests sims were far easier.
I would try the demo first as I think you get the type of sims I had on the test
