Author Failed twice with 847

Who here would know how I can fail twice in a row with 847. I ran out of time on my first attempt and the second only the beginning survey ran out of time (I didn't know the survey would time out). Perhaps I am blowing it in the SIM portion.

Some sim questions...

Do you perform only the actions directly related to the question or do you have to go thru the assumed steps. ie saving the config, verifying the config?

Ambiguous as well, when the button box comes up in the sim should you accept the Cisco Terminal or start with establishing the HyperTerm session?

And finally, should you always click on the different routers terminals with in the troubleshooting scenarios or should you telnet accross the simulated wan?

What I don't know and I can't find the answer to is do you loose points for not doing these different things? or do you gain points for doing these things.

Any help would save me on therapy.... THANKS!

I dont think it matters how you connect to the router, as long as you connect. Also you can click on the other terminals to telnet, to test your configs. Other then doing the required 'fix', I dont think it hurts to do a copy run start.(though I would read all sim instructions twice). You get points for the sims even if you dont complete them depending on how far you go.
847 is soo close, you cant give up now.

Good luck.

So basically you're running out of time. I would suggest that you surf the web downloads as many questions as possible, and try and answer as many as possible in as short amout of time. What you have to work on is reading your question as quickly as possible and understanding it. I had the CCNA training kit as part of my study, 419 questions in the study section, I was down to 50 minutes to answer all of them; this gave me the confidence to know that time wasn't an issue. Practice makes perfect

When it comes to the sims, when I did it I summarized the questions on a piece of paper, took about a minute, if it's a password one write down where each password goes in a simple table format; this allows for ease of reading. Apply the fix, copy run start; then log out of the router and log in; ensure that the passwords are in the right spot. A password one shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes max. For testing, test only what is relevant to the question; there isn't that much time to screw around.

You are so close it would be foolish to stop, another post was 3rd time is a charm, I would say yours will be as well. So keep going and good luck.
