Author Last minute suggestions?

I have been studying for 2 months now while holding down a full time job. I write my exam tomorrow morning!

From reading most of these post and post on other forums, it seems that a large amount of people fail on their first attempt. Which seriously concerns me.

I have been using Todd Lammle's CCNA study guide, transcenders, bosons, router sim v2 and the cisco sim.

I have been getting on ave 95% on Transcenders v3 and between 88 - 95 on Bosons. How do the transcenders and boson test questions relate to the actual exam? ie more difficult, about the same, much easier.

I only have a couple of hours left has anyone got any ideas on last minute preps?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

relax.

seriously, I am not joking. nothing you will get in the next 24 hours is gonna help you if your past study and the knowledge you gain in the last 2 month isn't...

now is NOT the time to worry about if the question exams you are using relate well to the real exam... should've ask that a month ago right?

In fact, I suggest that if you have gone thru them completely, spend sometime FORGETTING everything on the pratice exam. You do not want your mind trained in reading a question and answering it. You have the info to pass the test, let it flow freely.

During the exam, releax. I never aim for 100 percent. if some question is tricky (there always are tricky question and I don;t let it worry me, you are allow somewhere around 15 questions wrong!..) answer the best you can, prolly 2 answers are both valid and you have to deem what cisco think is the right one, like ... without being told, assume subnet zero or no? so what? answer one and move on.... if its not specifically stated, worry too much only effect your overall performance.

relax realx relax. stress management is call for now. don't let the appearance of a *large amount of ppl fail on their first attempt* worry you. think of it this one. if you pass, wow good for you. if you do not, well you are with the majority here, so what's wrong with that?

Go to the test a little early. Practice writing down a few notes for yourself. When I took the test I wrote down the OSI model and the encapsulation process. I also wrote down port #'s and what they represent as well as any other notes that might help. When you are ready to take the test the front-desk person will give you some paper and a pencil for notes. Remember your test doesn't start until you hit the "start test" button. Take all the time you need and write all the notes you need, even the basic stuff because when it's test time sometimes you forget. Hope this helps. Good luck and best wishes.

Just having the usual jitters before an exam! I have stopped studying now as my brain feels like mush!

If I don't get it tomorrow, I'll take it on the chin and get it next time. If I happen to pass I will paint the town red!

Thanks again, I will let you know tomorrows outcome.

I took the test and even thought this comment won't really help, I failed the first time. That isn't getting me down though. I'm going to try again Saturday morning, bright and early. Just take it easy and if you don't pass...hit the books so you will next time. Good luck
