router(boot)> prompt how do i removed!!

| Well y did u change the config register in first place ?........Now all u have to do is change it back to 0x2102 and u will be fine...did u change it to retrieve ur passsword...i assume this is the case.....after u acompolished what u wanted just change the config register back to its original value.... | |

ok...when i do a confreg 0x2142 then when i rebooted it still the same. So i changed it to 0x2102 but still no avail. Id just like to remove this (boot) prompt so that i can start configuring my interfaces.

| well change to 0x2102 and type reload....does that helps ?...if not then turn the router off..and then on again.... | |

| Hi,
I see two possibilities:
(1) You forgot to use "write mem" after changing the config-register value.
(2) Your BOOT variable points to the RxBoot image instead of an IOS image.
The "show bootvar" command will reveal all. Please post the output here.
